I am so grateful to have found Blue Zone fitness! 

Several years ago, I suffered a spinal injury. Although I was able to get back on my feet after a few months of physiotherapy, I continued to experience debilitating muscle cramps, the effects of nerve damage and muscle wasting. After a surprisingly short time attending Christa’s Simply Stretch class, I realized that the muscle cramps had stopped entirely. I feel that it was the combination of Christa’s expertise, caring, and ability to challenge her class in a fun and supportive way that got me where I am now-stronger, more flexible, and pain-free. 


I would highly recommend Blue Zone! 


After traveling across Canada and exploring the Atlantic provinces, my husband and I settled in Lunenburg for Nov/Dec 2022. Getting back to a regular fitness routine was a priority for me. On my 2nd day in town I walked into Blue Zone Wellness & Fitness and found exactly what I was looking for: a selection of group fitness classes and instructors, membership options including a monthly membership with no initiation or hidden fees, a bright clean open space, a good selection of fitness equipment and to top it off a location within walking distance.

Thank you Christa, Karen, Matt and Marianne! I’ve enjoyed the variety of each of your classes and appreciate your assistance with learning proper form and movements to improve both joint and muscle health. Thank you also to the wonderful members for making me feel so welcome. Lunenburg, you’re fortunate to have such a great facility right in the centre of town!

I have gotten SO much out of my personal training sessions with Christa and my subsequent training in the gym.

It has been money very well spent, and I appreciate all the time (and extra time) that Christa has given me.

I love the spirit Christa and Erin bring to the place—you are both so inspiring!

I appreciate the support/cheerleading that has launched my getting back into better shape. Super good for me in more ways than just physical.
It’s empowering!!

So, thank you for everything so far, and I look forward to the future when Covid is put to bed, when I feel comfortable coming back.

What I like about Blue Zone Wellness and Fitness is having the ability to come and go as you wish as well as the helpfulness and concern received from the instructors.

I am on my 3rd year at Blue Zone. I never thought that the amazing classes would do so much for me. I used the circuit for 21 years and then when Christa arrived - I was asked about doing classes because I had outgrown the circuit room.

I then joined the classes - plus doing the cardio room using the rowing machine, elliptical, treadmill and bicycle. I lost inches and pounds and have lots of energy!

Thanks to all the amazing instructors and all the wonderful members who support me.

The circuit is a great way to start. I encourage anyone to join Blue Zone. It Will be rewarding!

What I like about Blue Zone is the variety of each class, the challenge, instructor's enthusiasm, as well as the encouragement and inspiration from the instructors.  

The instructor's ability to match an alternate exercise to individuals skill levels.  

The instructor's wealth of knowledge regarding Body Mechanics and proper form to prevent injury.

Oh and we can't forget... the fabulous music choices! I loved it all. It exceeded my expectations.

My name is Audrey Morgan and I am 72 years young. I would like to tell my experience with Blue Zone. Over 2 years ago my knees started bothering me it hurt me to climb stairs and to even bend my knees. I was already doing the circuit at the gym for 20 years but apparently according to Christa and Karen I had outgrown the circuit and needed to do more exercises with my body. It took me awhile to see that but they were so right. I joined some of the classes and Christa was so helpful. She knows my limits. I have come along ways. My knees have improved so much an I am having better quality of life. It takes a lot of work at the gym and at home. I go to Blue Zone 5 days a week. I also walk one hour 5 times a week. I keep very active.

I thoroughly enjoy the Power Hour & Tabata classes at Blue Zone.

Matt always changes up the classes and they never get boring (and the music is great).


However, for a number of years, I have suffered chronic pain in my knees and wrists and at 74, I thought it was probably age related and I'd have to learn to live with it.


I decided to try Christa's stretch class and I've realized a noticeable difference in my range of motion and my knees are much more flexible. 

She also includes wrist exercises in her program to help with my wrist issues. 

Christa has been instrumental in correcting my bad posture by getting me to push back my shoulders and stand tall (I'm a terrible sloucher). 


I would strongly recommend that anyone at any age and fitness level try the excellent classes at Blue Zone.
